Marcos Dias Returns to Revolution II
Revolution II's all-time leading goal scorer will spend another season in New England!
A sigh of relief was felt on Tuesday when New England Revolution II announced star forward Marcos Dias was returning to the club.
After ending the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season with a team-leading nine goals and five assists, Dias’ future in New England was uncertain as his contract with Revolution II was set to expire in the offseason. Thankfully, both sides have agreed to a deal that sees the 22-year-old return for his fourth season with the club.
Since arriving on loan for Vasco da Gama in 2022, Dias has been a consistent presence and producer in the Revolution II attack, as he’s tallied a club-record 24 goals and nine assists over 68 appearances.
Dias’ efforts with Revs II saw him get notice from the first team as he joined the Revs on a short-term agreement and made his Major League Soccer debut as a substitute during July 7th’s 2-0 loss on the road against the Seattle Sounders.
His return for 2025 is a relief for Richie Williams and Revolution II as they look to bounce back following a disappointing 2024 campaign that saw them finish the year with a 4-18-6 record.
Glad to see him return.
