Several names from the New England Revolution organization will be on the world stage later this month after a slew of international call-ups.
Revolution defender Peyton Miller and midfielder Brooklyn Raines will represent the Red, White, & Blue after being named to the United States Men’s National Team roster for its slate of friendlies.
September and October’s window sees the U.S. kick things off on September 26, traveling to Orlando to face Peru. The United States faces Chile in St. Louis on September 29 before the U.S.-Mexico rivalry heats up once again on October 3 when the two sides meet in Glendale. Pochettino and the U.S. wrap up the window on October 6, facing Canada in St. Paul.
The September/October camp marks the first senior National Team call-ups for Miller and Raines after the two were heavily involved at the youth levels.
Forward Dor Turgeman and defender Ilay Feingold return to the Israel National Team for a slate of UEFA Nations League action. Israel kick off the window on September 24 against Austria. Israel returns to action for their first meeting with the Republic of Ireland on September 27. They then face Kosovo on October 1 before concluding the international window on October 4 when they face the Republic of Ireland for a second time.
Turgeman enters the upcoming international window with two goals and an assist in 18 caps for Israel. Feingold looks to add to his two senior caps.
With the slew of international call-ups, September 26th’s trip to Salt Lake City could get tricky for the Revolution as Miller, Raines,Turgeman, and Feingold will be unavailable for the fixture.
Revolution II defender Chris Mbaï-Assem returns to the Central African Republic, joining the nation for a pair of African Cup of Nations Qualifying matches. Central African Republic kick things off on September 24 against Mauritania. Central African Republic wrap up the window on September 28 with a meeting against Burkina Faso.
Mbaï-Assem will look to add to his previous cap with the Central African Republic, which came last September.
On the Academy side, midfielder Levi Katsell returns to the youth international stage with the Czech Republic Under-18 squad as the team prepares for the Václav Ježek Tournament, where they will face Switzerland, Slovakia, and Greece.
The 16-year-old San Diego native ascends to the U-18 National Team after previously featuring at the U-15 level.
It’s not known if or how these call-ups could impact Revolution II, who look to earn their second consecutive playoff appearance on September 21st’s Decision Day.
Academy goalkeeper Zach LaPierre returned to the Youth National Team level as he and the United States Under-16 National Team completed a concurrent training camp with the U-15s at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Fayetteville, Georgia.
