Academy midfielder Logan Azar received recognition from the organization on Sunday as the 16-year-old was named 2025-26 Revolution Academy Player of the Year.

Sunday’s recognition comes after the Hudson, Massachusetts native had a breakthrough season with New England Revolution II. After making his professional debut on April 12 against Red Bull New York II, Azar finished the 2026 regular season with 16 appearances and 15 starts for Revolution II, notching one assist over 1,247 minutes.

Azar’s success with Revolution II and the Academy led to recognition from Major League Soccer in the summer, earning a spot on the MLS NEXT All-Star Game roster. It only took Azar eight minutes to flash his skills, winning the ball in his defensive half before pinging a ball forward into the path of Jamil Danjaji, who broke past the defense and slotted the ball home to give the East a 2-0 lead.

October 16 saw Azar make Revolution II history, becoming the first unsigned Academy prospect to start a playoff game for Revs II in their unfortunate 2-1 loss to Columbus Crew 2 in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

On top of his work with Revolution II, 2025-26 saw Azar tally five goals and six assists with the Revolution Under-16s.

“The support I’ve received from my coaches, teammates, and staff with Revolution II and the Revolution Academy has meant so much to me," Azar said in a statement. "I’d like to thank my family for always being by my side and Rob Becerra for always believing in me. Making my professional debut this year was a moment I’ll never forget, and I’m excited to continue representing the New England Revolution.”
