Cristiano Oliveira Called Up to United States Under-17 National Team
Oliveira and the U.S. will compete in Concacaf Qualifiers action!
Cristiano Oliveira is returning to the international stage as he joins the United States Under-17 squad for the upcoming Concacaf Qualifiers later this month.
Since joining the Revolution Academy in 2021, Oliveira has seen a meteoric rise that saw him ascend to Revolution II permanently this offseason. After tallying six goals with the U15s, Oliveira ascended to the U17s and led the team with 12 goals and two assists.
The Somerville, Massachusetts native’s work with the Academy led him to sign an Amateur Agreement with Revolution II ahead of the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season.
The 16-year-old midfielder ended the year with one assist over 544 appearances. After starting in the final five matches of the season, Oliveira became a permanent fixture for Revolution II on October 11th, 2024, when he inked a deal with the club ahead of the 2025 season.
Oliveira’s efforts with the Revolution have led to two previous call-ups in the United States Youth System.
The United States will travel to Costa Rica to participate in Group F action beginning on February 10th when they face the US Virgin Islands. February 12th sees the US take on St. Kitts & Nevis before wrapping up the group stage on February 15th when they face Cuba.
