Pablo Moreira and New England Revolution II hit the road again as they look to build off the momentum from their win over NYCFC II on Sunday. Catch up on everything you need to know ahead of Wednesday’s match!
Opponent: Philadelphia Union II

Time: 7:00 PM ET
Venue: Kinetic Field at WSFS Bank Sportsplex Stadium, Chester, Pennsylvania

New England Revolution II:
After a tough stretch of games that saw the club suffer two losses, a draw, and a shootout loss, New England righted the ship a bit on Sunday as penalty goals from Myles Morgan, Shuma Sasaki, and another strike from Damario McIntosh led New England to a valiant 3-2 victory over New York City FC II.
While two of their three goals came from the penalty spot, it was nice to see New England find the back of the net after their offense hit a bit of a rut. Let’s hope Sunday’s result can be the shot of adrenaline this offense needs going forward.
A big spark in this offense of late has been Myles Morgan, who netted a team-leading third goal in the win over NYC. Hopefully, his recent hot streak rolls into Wednesday.
Questions linger over who will be in goal as the Revolution first team hosts Nashville SC inside Gillette Stadium on the same night. Pablo Moreira will likely be without either Donovan Parisian or JD Gunn, who will likely serve as a backup to Matt Turner. Wednesday could also provide a good opportunity to see Max Weinstein or Matthew Tibbetts in goal, who have yet to see the field in 2026.
Philadelphia Union II:
2026 has been a mixed bag of results for Ryan Richter and his Philadelphia Union II side as the club comes in tied for seventh place with Revolution II with 14 points on a 4-3-1 record, with one shootout victory.
Philly comes into Wednesday’s match looking to bounce back after suffering a 2-1 loss to reigning champs Red Bull New York II.
A big hindrance for Philly in 2026 has been their offense. Union II come into Wednesday’s match tied for the fifth-fewest shots on target per match (4.1), dead last in big chances created (8), next to last in accurate passes per match (276.3), fifth in fewest accurate long balls per match (20.4), tie for 16th in accurate crosses per match (3.8), dead last in touches in the opposing box (122), and tie for the seventh-fewest corners (33).
The defense has kept Philadelphia afloat as Union II is tied for the second-fewest goals conceded per match (1), tie for sixth in interceptions per match (10.8), rank seventh in tackles per match (19.4), and ninth in clearances per match (21.8).
Like the Revs, Philadelphia also has a first-team game tomorrow. If available for Union II, Stas Korzeniowski and Malik Jakupovic will be players for Revs II to monitor. Korzeniowski leads Union II with four goals and an assist in three appearances for the club. Jakupovic has three goals in six appearances.
Previous Meetings:
Wednesday will mark the 14th all-time meeting between New England and Philadelphia. Revolution II holds a slight historical advantage with a 6-5-2 record with one shootout victory in the first 13 meetings.
Things got off to a good start on May 27, 2022, when Meny Silva’s lone goal in the 34th minute led to New England taking all three points following a 1-0 victory.
Philadelphia went on to secure dominant 5-1 and 3-1 victories over Revolution II to close out 2022.
2023 saw New England sweep the season series against Union II as Revs II secured 5-1, 4-3, 3-0, and 3-2 wins. 2024 saw Philly flip the tables, securing 2-1, 3-1, and 2-1 victories in the three meetings between both sides.
Revolution II went undefeated against Union II in 2025 following a scoreless draw, a 2-2 draw, and a 3-1 victory.
