Boston Legacy FC has added to its midfield after acquiring Sarah Schupansky in a trade with Gotham FC.

Gotham will receive $50,000 in allocation money and $30,000 in intraleague transfer fee funds.

“I’m beyond grateful and excited to be joining Boston Legacy. Thank you to the entire organization for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be part of such an incredible club,” Schupansky said. “I’m honored for the chance to contribute to this team and help them build the legacy that this city deserves. I can’t wait for what’s to come!”

The attacking midfielder made her professional debut with Gotham last year and helped her team win several competitions, including the 2025 championship. She recorded one goal and five assists in 23 appearances and led the team in successful crosses. The 22-year-old also took 63 corner kicks last season, becoming the only rookie with double-digit chances created from set plays (10).

“Sarah is a chance creator, who adds real quality to our attack,”  said Domè Guasch, General Manager of Boston Legacy FC. “At 22 years old, she has already proven herself at the highest level with Gotham, and we believe that her best years are still ahead of her. We’re glad to have her in Boston.”

Schupansky hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she attended and played for North Allegheny High School; her youth soccer club was the Riverhounds Development Academy. She also represented the University of Pittsburgh during her collegiate years, finishing with 32 goals and 43 assists across 82 career matches.

Schupansky will be available for Saturday’s game against the North Carolina Courage.
