Arreaga will look to add to his international resume as Ecuador prepares for World Cup Qualifying action!
Xavier Arreaga is returning to the international stage, as he was named to Ecuador’s roster ahead of a pair of 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in September.
Friday’s announcement marks the 29-year-old defender’s first call-up since joining the New England Revolution from the Seattle Sounders via trade on April 23. Since joining the Revs, Arreaga has clocked 1,575 minutes over 18 appearances.
Arreaga has 20 caps with Ecuador, where he tallied one goal and one assist over 1,354 minutes. He’ll look to add to his resume when Ecuador opens the international window on September 6 when they face Brazil at 9:00 pm ET before facing Peru on September 10 at 5:00 pm ET.
