Vermont Green FC Qualifies For 2024 U.S. Open Cup

U.S. Soccer announced that Vermont Green Football Club has qualified for the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The club will enter in the tournament’s first round on March 19-21.
“Since the inception of Vermont Green FC, qualifying for and participating in the US Open Cup has been an important goal for us.” said cofounder Patrick Infurna. “As lovers of the game, it’s a privilege to play in such a historic and esteemed tournament, and to have the opportunity to be in the same competition as the nation’s top professional clubs. As we expand the competitions we play in, we can extend our mission to new eyes and ears.”
This is the first time that the club has qualified for the Open Cup.
The first round of the tournament will consist of amateur clubs matched up by region. The draw and hosting information will come at a later date.
Professional clubs from the USL Championship and USL League One will enter in the second round. Major League Soccer clubs will enter in the third round.
The club announced that season ticket holders will have tickets to the first-round matchup included in their package if The Green host the matchup. Single-game tickets would also be made available.
