Pair of Revolution Newcomers Receive International Call-Ups
September's international window sees two new faces represent the Revolution on the world stage.
September’s international window will see some Revolution representation as new signees from the first and second teams will represent their national teams.
Forward Dor Turgeman was called up to the Israel National Team for a pair of World Cup Qualifiers. Israel opens the window with a meeting against Moldova on September 5th before facing Italy on September 8th.
Turgeman made 32 appearances at the youth level. Since making his senior debut on September 8, 2023, Turgeman has 10 caps for Israel, where he’s netted one goal over 657 minutes. He also appeared in all three Olympic matches during the 2024 Paris Games.
The 21-year-old has yet to debut for the Revs since arriving from Maccabi Tel Aviv on August 20. Turgeman should hopefully be available following his return from international duty.
Defender Chris Mbaï-Assem received his first international call-up as he was named to the Central African Republic’s roster for a pair of international friendlies. The nation begins the window with a meeting against Madagascar on September 4 before facing Comoros on the 7.
The 20-year-old signed with Revs II on August 23 after spending time in the French youth system and with Racing Strasbourg B. It’s unclear if he will be available to make his Revolution II debut on Sunday against Chicago Fire II.
