Linda Henry Announces Departure From BOS Nation FC Investor Group
Henry departs Boston Unity Soccer Group, who helped NWSL return to Boston.
While we are still a year away from seeing Boston’s new NWSL franchise take the field, Monday saw a slight change for the club as news of Linda Henry’s departure from the Boston Unity Soccer Group, the group behind the launch of NWSL’s expansion to Boston.
In an Instagram Story, Henry said she informed the group in December of her intentions to depart the ownership group and are now in the process of completing the move.
“As an ardent supporter of women’s sports, I happily joined as a limited, passive investor when the group was forming,” She said in her post. “I remain very excited about the growth and future of women’s sports in Boston and beyond.”
Boston Unity Soccer Group expressed gratitude for Henry’s work with the organization.
“We want to thank Linda for her early investment into bringing professional women’s soccer back to Boston,” The group said. “Our ownership group continues to grow and we’re excited about what’s to come as we kick off in 2026.”
News of Henry’s departure comes days after renovation work to turn White Stadium into a multifaceted venue to serve BOS Nation FC and the Boston Public School system began.
