Eric Klein Feeling Good After Inking Deal With Revolution II
Hear what Klein had to say about what signing his first professional contract with Revs II meant to him.
After starting the season on an Amateur Agreement deal, versatile youngster Eric Klein saw himself ascend to Revolution II on September 18 when he inked his first professional contract through the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season.
Since signing an Amateur Agreement deal on March 13, the Manheim, Pennsylvania native has been a consistent presence for Revolution II, as he leads the club in minutes with a staggering 1,951 over 24 appearances.
When asked what it meant to join the fold full-time, Klein said that it felt good to sign on the dotted line. But Klein is not letting the contract change how he approaches his career.
While Amateur Agreements see some playing time throughout the year, Klein has seen more time than many — himself included — expected.
Obviously, it’s awesome, but I think I overachieved what even I had in mind for myself',” Klein said when asked about his playing time.
Klein’s adaptability has been a big reason he’s seen an influx of minutes in 2024, as he’s spent time at the center back, right back, central defensive midfield, and central midfield positions throughout the season.
With Klein engraved into Revolution II’s future, the club will continue to evaluate where to utilize him the most and begin molding him into a potential first-team prospect down the line.
