Damario McIntosh Named to MLS NEXT All-Star Roster
The standout youngster will represent the New England Revolution during the MLS NEXT All-Star game during the upcoming All-Star Weekend in Columbus!
Revolution II defender Damario McIntosh received praise from Major League Soccer on Tuesday when he learned he would represent the New England Revolution in the 2024 MLS NEXT All-Star Game during All-Star weekend in Columbus.
The past year has seen the 16-year-old defender have a meteoric rise. After joining the Revs Academy in 2023, where he tallied two goals and an assist, McIntosh took the next step in his soccer journey on March 13th when he was one of six Revs Academy prospects to ink amateur agreements with Revolution II.
After appearing in 11 matches for Revs II, McIntosh permanently joined the club after inking his first professional contract on June 11th. McIntosh has appeared in 14 games for Revs II in 2024 and is one of only three players who have cracked the 1,000-minute mark this season.
Damario joins an impressive list of Revolution Academy prospects who previously represented the club at the MLS NEXT All-Star Game, including names like Olger Escobar, Jack, Panayotou, and Esmir Bajraktarević.
McIntosh and the MLS NEXT All-Stars will take the field at Historic Crew Stadium on July 23rd at 11:30 AM ET, where it will stream live on MLSSoccer.com.
In the meantime, McIntosh and Revolution II return to New Hampshire on Saturday, July 6th, where they look to snap a two-game skid when they host Eastern Conference frontrunners Philadelphia Union II at 7:00 PM ET.
