Connecticut United Signs Lukas Kamrath
The defender joins CT United after spending two seasons at High Point University.
Connecticut United FC’s roster build continued on Tuesday as the club announced the signing of defender Lukas Kamrath.
The 22-year-old joins Connecticut after spending two seasons at the collegiate level with High Point University, where he tallied five goals and an assist in 35 appearances.
The Tampa native’s time with the Panthers also saw him secure Big South Second Team All-Conference (2024), Big South All-Freshman Team (2024), Big South First Team (2025), Big South Defensive Player of the Year (2025), and United Soccer Coaches All-South Region Third Team (2025) honors.
After securing the Big South title, Kamrath and High Point found themselves in the 2025 NCAA College Cup Tournament with a first-round bye after securing the 10th seed.
Kamrath clocked a full 180 minutes in a 3-2 win over West Virginia and a 2-1 loss to Georgetown in the Third Round.
The defender’s efforts also led him to receiving an invitation to the 2025 MLS College Showcase, but he did go undrafted during the most-recent SuperDraft.
Lukas Kamrath becomes the fifth player to sign with Connecticut United FC, joining Andre Applewhaite, Cauã Paixão, Nelson Rodríguez, and Barnabas Tanyi.
