Connecticut United FC Signs Hivan Kouonang
The midfielder arrives in Connecticut after playing at the collegiate level and in Germany.
Connecticut United FC’s roster build continued Friday afternoon as the club announced the signing of Hivan Kouonang.
The 22-year-old midfielder arrives in Connecticut after spending the last two seasons with German fifth-division side SG Wattenscheid 09, where he tallied five goals and six assists in 44 appearances for the club.
Before leaving for Germany, Kouonang spent two seasons at Radford University, where he notched one assist in 25 appearances for the Highlanders.
Kouonang becomes the sixth player signed by inaugural head coach Shavar Thomas as Connecticut United FC prepares for its debut season in 2026.
