Alhassan Yusuf and Jojea Kwizera Preparing For AFCON Qualifying Action

Two New England-based footballers are preparing to represent their respective nations during upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifying action!
Alhassan Yusuf returns to the international stage after being named to Nigeria’s roster ahead of a pair of Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya.
The Kano, Nigeria native has appeared in six matches since joining the Revolution from Belgian Pro League side Royal Antwerp on August 12. His tenure in New England has seen him notch one assist in 357 minutes.
Yusuf will look to add to his seven previous caps and 212 minutes with Nigeria. October’s window sees Nigeria face Libya two times. The first coming on October 11th at noon ET before another encounter on October 15th at 3:00 pm ET.
International duty means Yusuf will miss the October 12 road match against Columbus Crew.
Jojea Kwizera returns to the international stage after being named to Rwanda’s roster ahead of a pair of AFCON qualifiers against Benin.
Kwizera has appeared in 26 matches across USL and U.S. Open Cup action for Rhode Island FC during their inaugural season. The midfielder has tallied two goals and five assists over 1,982 minutes.
The 24-year-old midfielder has four total caps for Rwanda, where he tallied one goal.
Kwizera will look to add to that total when Rwanda faces Benin on October 11 at noon and October 15 at noon.
