Wednesday saw fans get a better insight into how their clubs spent as the MLS Players Association released its spring salary guide.
Here is a look at how the New England Revolution spent heading into the 2026 season.
It’s no surprise, but Designated Player Carles Gil tops the list for New England as he earns a base salary of $4.5 million with a guaranteed compensation of $4,952,083. The midfield maestro is the 14th highest-paid player across Major League Soccer.
Matt Turner, the Revolution’s other designated player, is the second-highest paid player on the team with $1,942,886.32. It’s worth noting that the Revs aren’t entirely on the hook for that figure, as Turner is on loan from French side Lyon.
Forward Leo Campana earns a guaranteed compensation of $1,617,325.
Midfielder Jackson Yueill takes home a $1,141,087 in guaranteed compensation.
Alhassan Yusuf earns just under seven figures with a guaranteed compensation of $995,311.
The defensive pairing of Mamadou Fofana and Brayan Ceballos is thoroughly compensated for their efforts along the backline as the pair earns $916,250 and $855,625, respectively.
Forward Dor Turgeman takes home a guaranteed compensation of $800,000.
Winger Luca Langoni earns $787,283 in guaranteed compensation.
Midfielder Matt Polster takes home $733,333 in guaranteed compensation.
This offseason saw three big additions to the roster as the club welcomed Brooklyn Raines, Griffin Yow, and Ethan Kohler. Yow tops the group with a guaranteed compensation of $810,875, while Raines and Kohler earn a guaranteed compensation of $443,250 and $308,800, respectively.
Right back Ilay Feingold earns a guaranteed compensation of $575,000, which might be one of the bigger steals for New England.
Defender Will Sands takes home $333,333 in guaranteed compensation, while defensive counterpart Tanner Beason earns $350,000 guaranteed.
Diego Fagundez’s return to the Revolution sees him take home a guaranteed compensation of $316,250.
Youngster Allan Oyirwoth takes home a guaranteed compensation of $141,000.
2026 sees Malcolm Fry, Eric Klein, Damario McIntosh, Peyton Miller, and Cristiano Oliveira occupy Homegrown contracts. McIntosh tops off the list with a guarantee of $122,349, followed by Malcolm Fry ($115,400), Peyton Miller (115,400), Oliveira ($99,025), and Eric Klein ($94,302).
The new season also sees three players away on loan. Jack Panayotou, currently with Loudoun United, earns a guaranteed compensation of $142,000. Tiago Suarez, currently with Birmingham Legion FC, earns a guaranteed compensation of $133,222. Keegan Hughes, also with Birmingham Legion FC, earns $113,400.
Donovan Parisian and JD Gunn fill out the goalkeeping core. The duo earns $88,025 and $116,181, respectively.
Loanee Marcos Zambrano earns $135,659 in guaranteed compensation, but it’s worth noting the Revs may not entirely be on the hook for it, as the club acquired him via loan from Real Salt Lake.
Club legend Andrew Farrell rounds out the list with a guaranteed compensation of $113,400. It’s worth noting that Farrell earns an additional salary unrelated to the Revolution’s annual salary charge due to his ongoing work for the New England Revolution Academy.
Thanks to our friend Tom Bogert over at The Athletic, we know the Revolution will spend somewhere in the ballpark of $19,400,000 on salaries. A figure that ranks 17th in Major League Soccer.
Despite spending toward the middle of the pack on its roster, first-year head coach Marko Mitrović is getting the most out of every penny as the Revs find themselves in second place in the Eastern Conference and look to possibly take the top seat during their clash with Nashville on Wednesday.
