Sunday’s thrilling 3-2 victory over New York City FC II was a momentous day for New England Revolution Homegrown Damario McIntosh as he slotted the ball through Mac Learned’s five-hole to net the game-winning goal for Revs II in the 83rd minute, marking the 18-year-old’s first goal at the professional level.

While scoring his first professional goal meant a lot to McIntosh, he was quick to highlight how the goal, which led to the result, was just as important to the team’s success as it was to his own.

“Obviously, a big moment for me, and just an important time of the game," he told The Blazing Musket. "To score at that time, it was just big for me and the group. We’ve had a rough three or four games where we’ve been on the losing side of things. So today, getting a win and getting a goal was so, so big.”

McIntosh also emphasized how big the result was not only for him, but for the group as a collective. The former Academy prospect made his first team debut back in 2025’s Open Cup run, but 2026 saw him get a bit more time in the competition as he tallied an assist in two appearances and clocked 169 minutes.

McIntosh told The Blazing Musket he “had been waiting” for another opportunity to display his talents with the first team.

“I feel like I put myself out there this season. to show that I'm ready for that moment," McIntosh said. "So, yeah, I mean, it's just the beginning. It's a great start for me, and I'm looking forward to more opportunities like that.”
