October 9th, 2019, saw the New England Revolution’s youth development system take a monumental step forward when the club announced the formation of Revolution II, a developmental club intended to streamline what we know today as the Revolution’s Pro Player Pathway.

Then on November 25th, 2019, the foundation of Revolution II was formed when Clint Peay became the club’s inaugural head coach. January 7th, 2020, saw history made as Mayele Malango, Connor Presley, Nick Woodruff, and Colin Verfurth became the club’s first signings.

With Peay and crew slowly making addition after addition, the group looked poised and excited to kick off their inaugural USL League One season on March 27th. Things took an unexpected turn when the ongoing pandemic forced the start date to be pushed back.

After months of waiting, Revolution II learned their inaugural campaign would begin on July 25th inside a barred Gillette Stadium, where they would face Union Omaha.

Both squads entered the match desperate to get their respective seasons started with a big win following the extended pause in action. Despite a hard-fought 90, neither side found the back of the net as the match ended in a scoreless draw.

Four years later, let’s look at where everyone from Revolution II’s inaugural match is now!
