Vermont Green FC maintained its winning streak with a 5-0 win over the Boston Bolts on Tuesday evening.
Seth Wilson earned yet another start in net behind the backline of Nikos Clarke-Tosczak, Egor Akulov, Brandon Marshall, and Aidan Godinho. Joseph Picotto and Connor Miller were the midfield pairing while Ryan Zellefrow played in his familiar No.10 role. Samson Kpardeh and Marcos Dos Santos started on the wings with Arnold Matshazi playing as the lone striker.

Zellefrow had the first chance of the match for Vermont but his shot trickled wide and out for a goal kick in the eighth minute. Luck went Vermont's way as it was issued a penalty kick after Rainer Osselmann-Chai committed a hand ball in the box. Dos Santos took the penalty and his shot escaped the reach of Boston's goalkeeper in the 17th minute.
The Green's attacking success continued as Matshazi scored his third goal of the 2026 campaign with a well taken shot that blew past Boston Bolts goalkeeper in the 22nd minute. Vermont added to the scoreline in the 38th minute as Kpardeh used his speed to get behind the Boston backline and blast a shot into the back of the net.
It was a strong first half for the Green after a slow start to the game.
Kpardeh continued his dominance as he burst down the wing in the 51st minute. His shot forced a point-blank save from the Bolts goalkeeper.
The Green's attack continued to control the game as Vermont looked for its fourth goal. Kpardeh found his second goal of the game in the 59th minute as he was played in on goal by Dos Santos. Kpardeh calmly curled the shot into the bottom corner of the net to giver Vermont a 4-0 lead.
The Green made three changes in the 73rd minute as Matshazi, Zellefrow, and Clarke-Tosczak as replaced by Halim Bangura, Andrea Di Blasio, and Riley Moloney. In the 77th minute, Dos Santos and Miller were replaced by Martin Bakken and Efe Aror. Then in the 81st minute, Picotto was replaced by Nicolas Loebus.
Vermont's captain Brandon Marshall added a goal of his own in the 85th minute off of a corner. He took a touch off of a corner and calmly managed to slide his shot into the back of the net.
Bangura nearly added to the tally with a strong shot in the 89th minute byt the Bolts goalkeeper made a great save. Moments later, Kpardeh seeked a hattrick but his shot screamed wide of goal.
Now Vermont will turn its attention to the final of the Steinbrecher Cup on Friday as it takes on West Chester United.
