Defender Keegan Hughes is on the move as the New England Revolution loaned the 25-year-old to USL Championship side Birmingham Legion FC for the remainder of the 2026 season.
Hughes' tenure with the Revolution organization began on January 3rd, 2025, when he was initially signed to a deal with MLS NEXT Pro side Revolution II. Before he could even suit up with Revs II, the defender was elevated to the first team, signing a deal on March 4, 2025.
Since joining the first team, Hughes has clocked 622 minutes in 10 appearances across all competitions. He also clocked 405 minutes in five appearances with Revolution II.
Hughes reunites with former Revolution II teammate Gevork Diarbian, who signed with the USL side in the offseason.
Birmingham finds itself in 12th place in the Eastern Conference after starting the 2026 season winless with a 0-2-1 record. Hughes will look to make his Birmingham debut on Saturday, April 4th, when the club hits the road to take on Loudoun United.
