With less than a week until the start of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season, New England Revolution II added to its midfield with the addition of attacking midfielder Carlos Zambrano through the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season.
The 21-year-old has signed his first professional contract after a four-year career at the collegiate level with Daytona State College and Syracuse.
Zambrano’s two seasons in Daytona saw him tally 13 goals and 16 assists in 32 appearances for the Falcons. Following two years in Daytona, the Miami native transferred to Syracuse, where he tallied six goals and three assists in 32 appearances. Zambrano also clocked 76 minutes in Syracuse’s opening round loss to Hofstra in the opening round of the 2025 College Cup tournament.
Zambrano may be a familiar name to Blazing Musket readers as he spent the summer of 2024 with USL League 2 side Vermont Green FC.
Zambrano and Revolution II begin the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season on Sunday when they welcome Liam Butts and Atlanta United FC 2 to Bryant University’s Beirne Stadium at 8 PM.
