Weather: We could see a wet start to Sunday’s contest as showers are expected to roll through the area come kickoff. Temperatures sit in the mid-70’s at kickoff and drop into the upper-60’s throughout the evening.

New England Revolution II:

Things have been incredibly rocky for Revolution II as of late, as the club enters Sunday’s contest amidst a three-game losing streak that has seen the club suffer a 4-3 loss to Philadelphia Union II, a 4-2 loss to Inter Miami CF II, and a 2-1 loss to NYCFC II.

Despite their recent woes, Revolution II have been one of the better teams in 2026 as they enter Sunday’s contest first in accurate crosses per match (6.4), third in touches in the opposing box (715), fourth in corners (142), eighth in tackles per match (18.3), and tie for sixth in shots on target per match (5.7) and fifth in accurate long balls per match (28.7).

With the regular season nearing the end, Sunday is a pivotal outing for Revs II as they find themselves in sixth place with 42 points on an 11-7-6 record with three shootout victories.

The Eastern Conference is razor-thin at the moment. While New England is four points shy of second-placed Chattanooga, they’re also three points behind ninth-placed Chicago Fire II.

While major injuries to Carlos Zambrano and Joe Buck have dealt a blow to performance and morale, Revolution II could see an influx of names return on Sunday as key players like Jayden Da, Jared Smith, and Chris Mbai-Assem have returned to training in recent days. Their status for Sunday’s home finale is unknown, but it’s good to see the trio back in action as we make the final push toward the end of the regular season.

Sunday could be a historic day for Myles Morgan and Revolution II. With 13 goals this season, Morgan is tied with Liam Butts for most goals in a single Revolution II season. A strike against Huntsville would not only see Morgan take sole possession of the title, but extend his goal-scoring streak to six matches.

Huntsville City FC:

On the other end, Chris O’Neal and his Huntsville side come into Sunday’s match looking to keep their postseason aspirations alive as they sit in 10th place in the East with 35 points on a 9-9-6 record and two shootout victories.

Despite the rocky overall record, things have been going well for the club as of late, entering Sunday’s contest amidst a three-game unbeaten run with shutout wins in their last two outings.

A big role in Huntsville’s success has come from forward Maximus Ekk, who leads the team with nine goals and two assists in 22 appearances.

Revs II will also have to watch out for forward Malachi Molina, who has tallied seven goals and three assists in 23 appearances.

Midfielder Misei Yoshizawa is another threat with two goals and a team-leading four assists.

As a collective, Huntsville City has been a pretty average team as they rank 14th in accurate passes per match (372.2), 17th in clearances per match (19.2), and tie for 12th in saves per match (3.3), 12th in tackles per match (17.6), and 18th in shots on target per match.

Previous Meetings:

Sunday will mark the fifth all-time meeting between New England and Huntsville. Revolution II holds the firm advantage with a 2-1-1 record, with one shootout victory.

Their inaugural meeting on July 2, 2023, was uneventful, as both sides split points following a scoreless draw. New England walked out with the additional point following a 5-4 shootout victory.

September 1, 2023, saw New England walk away with all three points as goals from Malcolm Fry, Jack Panayotou, and an own goal from Huntsville led to a 3-0 shutout victory,

July 10, 2024, saw Huntsville add to the suffering that was the 2024 season as goals from Jonathan Bolanos and Woobens Pacius led to Huntsville securing their first and only win over New England after securing a 2-1 victory.

The last meeting between the two sides came on September 8, 2025, when a lone strike from Cristiano Oliveira led to a 1-0 victory.
