The New England Revolution are confident that goals are coming for Dor Turgeman.

The striker made quite an impression upon arriving in MLS last year, becoming the 10th player in league history to score in each of his first three games.

This year, he has one goal and two assists, but these numbers don't tell the full story as Turgeman has been close on several other attempts.

"Dor is a very talented player, and Dor is actually very good in front of the goal," head coach Marko Mitrovic said. "He had some opportunities that he didn't score goals, but I know that sometimes those goals come in flows. Sometimes forwards just score goals that just happen, and then they have those breaks where they don't score goals."

Mamadou Fofana noted that Turgeman "helps the team a lot" with his various actions and movements. He added that he's good with and without the ball.

While Turgeman came to the Revolution having recorded 32 goals and 10 assists in 114 appearances in Israel's top flight, the 22-year-old's career has just begun. As such, the coaching staff is still looking at ways to best use him.

"What matters to us is there are small actions and small behaviors that Dor has to do, and again he's still a young player, still in his development phase, and we are working on how we can build that foundation outside of pure finishing," Mitrovic said. "He’s strong in any given moment on the field, and he contributes to the team even when he doesn't score. But he will score goals because that's his highest potential."
