According to The Athletic's Tom Bogert, Rhode Island FC striker J.J. Williams could be making a move to Hearts.

Williams has been a key scoring threat for Rhode Island FC after the departure of Albert Dikwa. The 28-year-old has 13 goals in 44 appearances for Rhode Island, including eight goals and four assists so far in 2026.
While RIFC is likely to get a nice transfer fee for the deal, it would leave a pretty large hole up top. Leo Afonso is the most comparable player, and he has just three goals this season.
Rhode Island is currently seventh in the Eastern Conference, one point ahead of rivals Hartford Athletic.
