Instant Reactions: Leo Campana’s long road to recovery enters another week as the forward has suffered a setback in his recovery from a lower body injury.

2026 has been an incredibly difficult year for the DP forward as a slew of injuries has limited the Ecuadorian to 110 minutes in two appearances. Campana hasn’t played since exiting March 20th’s 3-1 loss to St. Louis City SC 20 minutes after subbing into the match.

Veteran defender Andrew Farrell is set to miss his fourth consecutive match as the 34-year-old continues working his way back from a lower body injury.

Like Campana, a slight setback sees defender Ilay Feingold’s road to recovery slightly extended. Feingold missed five games with a lower body injury before the World Cup break. With the extended break, Feingold underwent a minor procedure and has missed the three games New England has played since returning to action.

Winger Luca Langoni is questionable with a lower body injury after clocking 34 minutes off the bench against CF Montreal on August 1st. Langoni’s status comes as reports indicate interest in the Argentine winger has once again spiked, as fellow MLS side CF Montreal, along with Belgian side RSC Anderlecht, reportedly have interest in Langoni.

On the opposite side, MLS veteran goalkeeper Jimmy Maurer remains out with a back injury. Maurer has primarily served as a backup for Houston, clocking 180 minutes in three appearances mostly in U.S. Open Cup action.

Defender Antônio Carlos enters Saturday’s match as questionable with a lower body injury that’s seen him miss three matches since MLS restarted following the World Cup break. Carlos has one assist in 13 matches, clocking 1,034 minutes.
