Portland Hearts of Pine has released the first new kit of 2026 with their lighthouse kit.

The red-and-white striped kit resembles the U.S. Soccer jersey worn in 2012, affectionately nicknamed “the Waldo.” The shirt also takes design cues from the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse in Lubec, Maine. The lighthouse, located at the country’s northeasternmost point, is among the first places to see sunlight.

While receiving unanimous praise in the soccer world, here is what our staff thinks of the new kit.
