It's not an MLS offseason until the SuperDraft happens.
The 2026 MLS SuperDraft was completed on Thursday, an event that had no livestream and once again saw the New England Revolution trade out of the first round.
Yes, two players were selected in the later rounds, but going forward it’s going to be very interesting how the SuperDraft aligns with the new MLS calendar. There are proposals in place to have college soccer also have a split fall/spring season, but what used to be one of the most vital roster building mechanisms, especially for the Revs, seems to be very much in decline.
Especially when the Rapids have to take their own MLS Next Pro player in the top ten and Inter Miami apparently only picks America East players and someone from Duke. We used to be a proper country…
