Rhode Island FC Qualifies For Playoffs, Locks Up Zachary Herivaux
Not a bad debut season
Rhode Island FC is headed to the playoffs and it has locked up a summer acquisition for the future.
Rhode Island will at worst occupy the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Khano Smith’s side became the second team in the past three seasons to qualify for the postseason having earned more draws than wins in the regular season.
As Rhode Island prepares for the playoff push, the club announced that it had signed midfielder Zachary Herivaux to a multiyear deal. The former New England Revolution midfielder was set to be out of contract come end of the season.
The 28-year-old has made a notable impact since being acquired via transfer from the Tampa Bay Rowdies in July. Herivaux has recorded a career-high four goals and also notched one assist in 14 appearances for the club.
