Revolution Select Two Players, Receive GAM in 2026 MLS SuperDraft
After trading out of the first round, see who the Revs selected in the second and third rounds!

Thursday saw two players and some cash join the New England Revolution organization as the club participated in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft.
After ending the 2025 season with an 8-18-8 record, the Revs entered the draft with the eighth, 38th, and 68th overall picks.
The Revolution’s first pick would have to wait as the club dealt the eighth overall pick to D.C. United for $150,000 in 2026 General Allocation and $50,000 more in 2027.
New England’s first pick in the draft came in the second round when the club selected defender Schinieder Mimy with the 38th overall pick.
Mimy arrives in New England after playing four seasons at Oral Roberts and UCLA. His time at Oral Roberts saw Mimy tally a goal and four assists over 34 appearances for the Owls. Mimy also took home two Horizon All-League Honors.
While the North Miami native missed the first five games due to injury, Mimy ended the 2025 season with a goal and four assists in 14 appearances for the Bruins.
After helping UCLA capture the 2025 Big 10 title, Mimy clocked 110 minutes in November 20th’s 0-0 draw and 3-1 shootout loss to Grand Canyon University in the opening round of the NCAA College Cup tournament.
UCLA Head Coach Ryan Jorden called Mimy “A two-way left-sided defender” and added Mimy “brings great attacking qualities in conjunction with the ability to stop attackers in one against one battles”.
The third round saw the Revolution add to its attack, selecting University of Denver forward Kyle McGowan with the 68th overall pick.
The former Portland Timbers Academy prospect arrives in New England after spending the last four seasons in Denver. After redshirting in 2022, McGowan went on to tally 14 goals and four assists in 53 appearances for the Pioneers.
2025 was a breakout season for McGowan as he ended the year tallying 11 goals and three assists while securing Summit League All-Tournament Team, Summit League First Team, and Summit League Offensive Player of the Year.
After winning the Summit League title, McGowan and Denver’s quest for the College Cup began on November 20th when McGowan notched a goal and an assist in Denver’s 2-0 shutout win over UC Irvine.
McGowan went on to tally another goal in Denver’s second-round match, but it was not enough as their run ended after a 2-2 draw and 5-4 shootout loss to Portland. McGowan did convert when he stepped to the spot in the third round of the shootout.
It’s unclear whether Mimy and McGowan will begin their careers with the Revolution or Revolution II, but the pair brings an improvement to the depth in the attack and defense.
