Revolution in "Active Negotiations" for Illya Krupskyi
The 20-year-old right back currently plays for Vorskla Poltava and has international experience with the Ukraine youth system.
It appears the New England Revolution is working to make a defensive addition.
According to sources close to Seth Macomber, the club is in “active negotiations” to acquire 20-year-old fullback Illya Krupskyi from Ukrainian Premier Liga side Vorskla Poltava.
Since debuting on May 1st, 2021, Krupskyi has appeared in 50 matches for Vorskla Poltava, where he tallied one goal and four assists over 3,455 minutes.
Krupskyi’s efforts at the club level have led him to become a regular at the youth level for Ukraine. The Vinnytsia native has appeared in eight matches for the U21s and six for the U23s.
This past summer saw Illya join the Ukrainian Olympic Team for the Paris 2024 game. Krupskyi started in all three group-stage matches, where he clocked 270 minutes. Unfortunately, Ukraine failed to escape the group after only securing three points.
The news of Krupskyi’s potential arrival comes after the Revolution announced their roster decisions that saw them sign Will Sands to a new contract and pick up Brandon Bye’s option while Nick Lima and Ryan Spaulding become free agents.
