With the 2025 season in the rear-view mirror, the New England Revolution’s attention turned toward the future on Tuesday as the club announced its year-end roster moves.
Defender Wyatt Omsberg, who is retiring, had his option declined by the organization after one year. Following stints with Minnesota United and the Chicago Fire, Omsberg signed with the Revs on January 14 and went on to appear in 11 matches for the club across all competitions.
Forward Ignatius Ganago will return to Ligue 1 side FC Nantes as his loan with the club expires. The Cameroonian arrived on January 10 and went on to score three goals and four assists in his 20 appearances for the club.
Defender Keegan Hughes returns for a second year with New England after the club exercised his contract option. After beginning his career with the Columbus Crew, Hughes’ tenure with the organization started on January 3. Before suiting up for Revs II, Hughes earned a promotion and signed with the first team on March 4.
After splitting time between the first and second teams, his first year saw him appear in nine matches for the Revs and five for Revs II.
The club also remains in negotiations with defender Brandon Bye, whose contract expired following the 2025 season. Bye has been a part of the Revs since the club selected him with the eighth overall pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft.
Bye’s eight seasons with New England have seen him tally 10 goals and 20 assists in 214 appearances.
That means that 2026 will see 25 members from the 2025 squad return as goalkeepers Alex Bono, Donovan Parisian, and Matt Turner; defenders Tanner Beason, Brayan Ceballos, Andrew Farrell, Ilay Feingold, Mamadou Fofana, Keegan Hughes, Damario McIntosh, Peyton Miller, Will Sands, Santiago Suarez; midfielders Carles Gil, Eric Klein, Allan Oyirwoth, Jack Panayotou, Matt Polster, Jackson Yueill, Alhassan Yusuf; and forward/wingers Leonardo Campana, Tomas Chancalay, Malcolm Fry, Luca Langoni, and Dor Turgeman are under contract for the new year.
