Revolution Acquire $100,000 Of 2024 GAM From FC Dallas
The Revs exchange Croation striker Petar Musa's Discovery Priority for $100k in GAM!
The New England Revolution saw another influx of cash on Thursday, as the club received $100,000 in 2024 General Allocation Money from FC Dallas in exchange for the Discover Priority for Croatian striker Petar Musa.
The 25-year-old striker’s signing became FC Dallas’ most expensive purchase as they reportedly sent Portuguese side Benfica $9.7 million with add-ons up to $13 million for Musa.
Considering all three of the Revolution’s Designated Player spots are filled, the Revolution could not offer Musa a contract, which led to Thursday’s trade.
Thursday’s $100,000 adds to the pile of allocation money the Revolution have received this offseason. On January 15th, the club received $125,000 from Minnesota United in exchange for Revolution II forward Jordan Adebayo-Smith. The club also received $175,000 in GAM on January 26th, when they dealt an international roster spot to Charlotte FC after DP striker Giacomo Vrioni received his green card.
Onalfo's been pretty successful acquiring cash this pre-season. Players, not so much.
This summer transfer window could prove to be fruitful.
