Report: Revolution To Add Ignatius Ganago On Loan
The Revolution will add Ignatius Ganago on a loan deal, according to reporter Sacha Tavlieri.
The New England Revolution are set to welcome Cameroonian attacker Ignatius Ganago on loan from FC Nantes, according to reporter Sacha Tavolieri. The deal includes an option to buy.
Ganago, 25, has spent his entire professional career in France. He debuted for Nice on Sept. 9, 2017, scoring after he replaced Mario Balotelli in the 74th minute.
He transferred to Lens in 2020 and then to Nantes in 2022 for a reported transfer fee of €3.5 million, excluding bonuses.
Speaking to The Blazing Musket, Tavolieri noted that Ganago is a “very good player” who can play out wide and as a striker.
“His first quality is his speed,” Tavolieri said. “When he accelerates, he can have a very big impact on the offensive game. Yes, he’s able to score when he’s face-to-face. When he can get some space and take the path, he’s very good.
“That’s, for me, the most important for him, to get him some space so he can jump on it to get in the back of the defense.”
When highlighting Ganago’s pace, Tavolieri mentioned the attacker’s ability to cut inside to strike the ball with his right foot.
