Report: Revolution Submit Bid For Atlético Tucumán's Joaquín Pereyra
Despite the interest and bid, both sides have not reached a final agreement over the deal.
According to journalist César Luis Merlo, the New England Revolution reportedly have their eyes on midfielder Joaquín Pereyra, who currently plays for Argentine side Club Atlético Tucumán. The Blazing Musket has confirmed that the Revs are interested in Pereyra.
Merlo reports that the club has submitted an official bid to Tucumán for Pereyra. While Merlo didn’t provide an exact transfer fee, he did mention a potential deal for the midfielder could include a 10% sell-on clause.
It seems Pereyra favors a move away from the Argentine club, as he reportedly discussed his desire to leave with the board.
While there seems to be interest, Merlo reports there's been no official agreement between Club Atlético Tucumán and the Revolution.
The 25-year-old midfielder started his career ascending the CA Rosario Central Academy before joining their reserve team before eventually making the senior roster. Pereyra’s career also included a stint with Portuguese side FC Famalicão before joining Tucumán.
During his two stints with Club Atlético Tucumán, Joaquín Pereyra has appeared in 101 matches for the club, where he tallied four goals and 10 assists over 7,483 minutes.
