Preseason Recap: Revolution II 1 - Orlando City B 1
Revs II walk away with a draw in their preseason opener thanks to Trialist 1!
After weeks of training in Foxboro and Florida, New England Revolution II saw their first taste of action Saturday morning as they faced fellow MLS NEXT Pro side Orlando City B in a friendly inside Osceola Heritage Park.
Richie Williams’ first starting saw Jacob Jackson start in goal with Colby Quiñones, Heston Barry, Victor Souza, Colin Smith, Maciel, Joshua Bolma, Marcos Dias, Patrick Leal, Alex Monis, and Trialist 1 formed the outfield.
Trialist 1 had a debut to remember as the mystery man found the back of the net in the 23rd minute to give Revolution II the lead.
Unfortunately, Revolution II’s lead would not last long as Orlando City B got on the board to level the game in the 29th minute.
As both sides returned to the pitch for the second half, Williams rolled out a new lineup, as Max Weinstein started in goal with Steban Lopera, Eric Klein, Alex Parvu, Damario McIntosh, Trialist 2, Trialist 3, Brandonn Bueno, Cristiano Oliveira, Olger Escobar, Andrej Bjelajac comprised the outfield.
Neither side found the back of the net in the second forty-five as the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Williams first 90 minutes are in the book. He and Revolution II will return to action on Tuesday, February 13th, as they face USL Championship newcomers Rhode Island FC.
Could Trialist 1 bring an end to the 3rd striker crisis for the Revs?
