More Teams Reportedly Interested in Giacomo Vrioni
Three more teams along with previously reported Royal Charleroi have their eye on the Albanian striker.
It appears the sweepstakes for Revolution Designated Player Giacomo Vrioni has seen more clubs enter their name, according to Markaj News.
The outlet confirms previous reports that Belgian side Royal Charleroi were one club eyeing the Albanian striker.
Markaj News reports three new teams are interested in Vrioni. Italian Serie A side Cagliari, Portuguese Primera Liga side Boavista, and Turkish Super Lig side Ä°stanbul BaÅŸakÅŸehir reportedly have their eye on the striker.
The one thing three of the four teams have in common is they’re teetering their respective league’s relegation zone. Charleroi sits in 12th place and three points removed from the relegation zone. Cagliari finds themselves in 18th place and two points away from escaping the relegation zone. Boavista sits in 16th place and sees themselves tied on points with 17th-placed Arouca and two points ahead of last-placed SC Farense. İstanbul is the outlier from the group as they sit in seventh place in the Turkish Super Lig and are four points shy from qualifying for European soccer.
There’s currently no reports of reported interest turning into action, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens as January approaches.
Since arriving in New England from Austrian Bundesliga side WSG Trioli in July 2022, Vrioni has 78 appearances across all competitions and has netted 22 goals and five assists over 4,599 minutes.
Please someone take him.
Have any of them actually seen him play?
