Jayden Da to Miss 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Season
The Revolution II newcomer will miss the entire 2025 season following an ACL and meniscus injury.
While Revolution II continues preparing for the upcoming MLS NEXT Pro season, the club suffered a massive blow Tuesday night when newcomer Jayden Da took to his Instagram account to announce his 2025 season was over after tearing his ACL and meniscus while training.
In a statement, Da thanked everyone for their support during this difficult time and vowed to return to the pitch next season to continue his journey.
“Wanted to thank everyone for reaching out and I’ve felt the continuous support from family, friends, teammates, staff, and etc. Always believe! And never lose faith in God! I’m sorry to the Revolution fans and to the club and to all my supporters who were thrilled to see me play this year. But what’s a story without continuous adversity,” he said. “With that being said see you next season.”.
Da’s professional career began on December 19, 2023, when the Columbus Crew selected the Boston-born forward with the 29th overall pick in the MLS SuperDraft following a collegiate career at Division III side Washington & Jefferson College before transferring to Division I side Duquesne University. During his time with the Dukes, Da tallied eight goals and four assists over 1,764 minutes.
Da spent most of his time in Columbus playing with their MLS NEXT Pro side, Crew 2, which saw him tally nine goals and five assists across 27 regular season and playoff action.
The Rockville, Maryland native signed with Revolution II on December 5 and progressed well during the organization's preseason trip to Florida.
While Revolution II has depth in the attack, Da’s absence in 2025 will be a tremendous blow to the club. With less than a month to go until Revs II kicks off their season, Richie WIlliams and crew still have time to adjust following the unfortunate news.
That really stinks a blow to the team. Hoping for a speedy recovery.
That really sucks..
