European Scouts "All Over" Peyton Miller
One even attended Saturday's 2-2 draw against Montreal.
While early into his first-team career, 16-year-old phenom Peyton Miller is beginning to attract interest from clubs abroad.
During his weekly talk with 98.5 The Sports Hub, head coach Caleb Porter indicated scouts have their eye on Miller and added one was even in attendance during Wednesday’s 2-2 draw against Montreal.
“He’s got scouts all over him in Europe,” Porter said. “There was a scout watching him last night.”
No team was named, but whichever it was must have been impressed with the outside back. Miller went the full 90 minutes against Montreal, ending the night by completing 35 of 44 passes, getting 69 touches on the ball, winning six duels, and notched an assist on Bobby Wood’s 24th-minute goal. An assist that saw Miller become the eighth-youngest player in MLS history to notch an assist
Miller has appeared in eight matches across MLS and Leagues Cup action in 2024, where he clocked 526 minutes. Before ascending to the first team, Miller started with Revolution II, where he tallied three goals and three assists over 25 appearances in 2023.
The Unionville, Connecticut native’s work with the Revs and Revs II has paved the way for him to represent the United States at the international level. Since arriving, Miller has appeared in 10 matches for the U.S. U-16s and U-17s.
While Caleb Porter emphasized that the club doesn’t necessarily want to sell Miller, he stated that if the offer is good enough New England will sell him.
So, does Miller have the mentality, Porter? SMH
Love to see these guys get big opportunities, but we've barely gotten to see him at all yet.
Easy to see why Europe is interested - classy player.
