Peart arrives in the Ocean State after stints in the MLB, NFL, NHL, and sports media.
Rhode Island FC entered a new era on Friday when the club announced David Peart as the club’s second president.
Peart takes the Rhode Island job after a lengthy career in professional sports and media. Prior stops for Peart include the Dallas Stars, Texas Rangers, Houston Texas, San Francisco 49ers, and Pittsburgh Penguins. Peart’s most recent role saw him serve as the General Manager of AT&T Sports Network/Space City Sports Network.
His previous roles saw him responsible for local revenue and business development initiatives, which included ticket sales, corporate sales, premium seat sales, broadcasting, new media, promotions, retail merchandise, concession sales and publications.
“I am eager to use my experience in sports and entertainment to help the organization achieve its goals of becoming champions on the pitch, in the community and with our valued partners,” Peart said. “I look forward to earning the trust and confidence of our club’s fans and supporters, and building a culture that reflects the values and traditions of the state and community we call home.”
Peart will join Rhode Island full-time in mid-June.
