CT United FC Signs Daniel D’Ippolito
D’Ippolito signs with Connecticut after spending four seasons at Fordham University.
CT United FC bolstered its midfield Tuesday evening as the club announced the signing of Daniel D’Ippolito.
The 21-year-old midfielder arrives in Connecticut after spending the last four seasons playing at the collegiate level with Fordham University.
His time with the Rams saw him tally 25 goals and 19 assists in his 69 appearances for the program.
2024’s performance saw the Rams earn a spot in the College Cup tournament. Despite finding the back of the net, D’Ippolito and the Rams’ run in the tournament ended in the first round following a 4-2 loss to Cornell.
During his time at Fordham, D’Ippolito took home 2023 All-Atlantic 10 Second Team, 2024 All-Atlantic 10 First Team, 2024 United Soccer Coaches All-Region Second Team, 2025 United Soccer Coaches All-Region First Team, and 2025 Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team honors. The Baldwin Place, New York native also took home the 2024 Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Year and back-to-back Atlantic 10 Midfielder of the Year awards in 2024 and 2025.
After a standout career at Fordham, D’Ippolito received an invitation to the 2025 MLS College Showcase, but went undrafted during the 2026 MLS SuperDraft.
Daniel D’Ippolito becomes the 10th signing ahead of CT United FC’s inaugural season in 2026.
