Connecticut United FC Signs Anthony Ramos
The dual national goalkeeper joins CT United following spells in the U.S., Portugal, and Mexico.
Connecticut United added another name to its roster on Monday as the club announced the signing of Anthony Ramos. The 22-year-old goalkeeper joins CT United following spells in the United States, Portugal, and Mexico.
As a member of the LA Galaxy Academy, Ramos made his professional debut and lone appearance with the club’s then-USL Championship side LA Galaxy II on April 10, 2020, subbing on in the 62nd minute and keeping a clean sheet through the remainder of LA’s 4-1 loss to Phoenix Rising FC.
Following his time in the Galaxy Academy, Ramos went on to have a brief stint with Portuguese side Real SC B before joining Liga MX side Tigres.
During his time with Tigres, Ramos featured at the youth ranks, tallying one clean sheet in five appearances for the U19s and tallying 13 clean sheets in 29 appearances for the U21 side.
His work at the club level has led to Ramos garnering interest on the international level. The dual Mexico and U.S. national has one appearance each, making his U.S. U16 debut in 2019, and made an appearance with the Mexico U20 squad in 2022.
The Torrance, California native becomes the first goalkeeper to sign with CT United, and the club’s ninth signing ahead of the inaugural 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season.
