Peay earns the league recognition after tying the club record for consecutive wins!
Following an incredible run of games in May, Revolution II head coach Clint Peay received MLS NEXT Pro honors as he was named May’s Coach of the Month!
May saw Revolution II take the field five times and end the month with a 4-1-0 record. Revs II opened the month with a trip to New York on the 6th when NYCFC II handed Revs II a 4-2 loss.
Revs II headed north of the border on May 14th as they faced Toronto FC II. TFC II commanded the first half as they found the net twice. Markus Cimermancic kept Revolution II in the game just before halftime as the Toronto midfielder deflected Damian Rivera’s cross into the net to shrink TFC II’s lead to one. Just as it looked as if TFC II would secure a 2-1 victory, Damian Rivera had other ideas as the Revolution Homegrown notched a brace in the closing ten minutes to give Revs II a 3-2 win!
Revolution II secured another comeback victory on May 21st after falling behind 3-1 in the first half. Thanks to a second-half brace from Esmir Bajraktarević and an additional goal from Marcos Dias, Revolution II earned their second-consecutive comeback as they secured a 4-3 win.
May 25th saw Revolution II secure their first shutout of the 2023 campaign as Nico Campuzano notched three saves while Jordan Adebayo-Smith and Ben Awashie notched goals to secure Revs II a 2-0 victory!
Revolution II wrapped up the month of May last Sunday as an early goal from Pierre Cayet and two saves from Jacob Jackson led to a second-consecutive shutout win!
Following the month of May, Revolution II sees themselves in second place in the Eastern Conference with 23 points on a 7-3-1 record with one shootout victory!
Revs II will look to replicate their success in June as they return to action on Wednesday, June 4th, as they travel to MSU Soccer Park in Montclair, New Jersey, to take on New York Red Bulls II at 7:00 PM ET on MLS Season Pass!
