Monis earns his second international call-up for the Philippines amidst a stellar season with Revolution II!
Revolution II forward Alex Monis received tremendous news before Revs II’s road outing on Saturday when he learned he was selected to the Philippines 23-man squad ahead of the Merdeka Tournament.
The Philippines will begin their Merdeka Tournament run on September 4, facing host nation Malaysia in the Semifinal at 9:00 am ET. Depending on the result against Malaysia, the Philippines will play the Final or Third-Place match against the winner or loser between Lebanon and reigning champions Tajikistan on September 8.
Monis’ time with Revs II led to him recieving his first international call-up for the Philippines in June when he tallied one assist over 137 minutes during two World Cup Qualifying matches.
