Kei Kamara announced his retirement from professional soccer after playing 18 seasons in MLS
The striker played for a dozen MLS sides, including the New England Revolution. When he first joined the league in 2006, there were only 12 total teams in the league (thank you Greg Johnstone).
Kamara scored 147 regular-season goals, the second most in league history. While in New England, he made 51 regular-season appearances and scored 19 goals and seven assists.
On the international level, Kamara made 45 appearances for Sierre Leone. He tallied eight goals.
The striker will be remembered for his longevity as well as earning a yellow card for twerking after scoring a goal at Gillette Stadium.
