We’re just two weeks away from the start of Revolution II’s seventh season and the first of Pablo Moreira’s tenure.

While there are tons of players to be excited about, here are five names fans should have their eyes on in the new season.

1 - Javaun Mussenden

Mussenden had a solid 2025 season, ending the year with a goal and two assists in 23 appearances. I expect Mussenden to have an even better year now that he’s a full-fledged member of Revolution II in 2026.

With the departure of midfielders like Marcos Dias and Cristiano Oliveira, the space has opened for the 2024-25 Academy Player of the Year to become a consistent presence in this Revolution II lineup.

Considering the first team's influx of central midfielders, I think 2026 is the best time to experiment with Mussenden at the number 6 role and refine his defensive abilities. With an aging Matt Polster and Alhassan Yusuf with the first team, the Revs need to find the next man up in the defensive midfield, and Javaun Mussenden has the potential to slot in perfectly come 2027 or beyond.

Speaking of the first team, Mussenden recently spent time with the preseason, clocking minutes in a 1-1 draw against FC Cincinnati.

Mussenden also spent part of the offseason with the U.S. U19s as the group joined the U18s and U20s for a joint U.S. Youth National Team training camp.

2 - Grant Emerhi

Since its inception, Revolution II has seen numerous talented academy prospects make their name at the club. Noel Buck, Esmir Bajraktarević, Peyton Miller, Oliveira, and others have utilized their opportunities at Revs II to display their talents and grow into MLS-caliber players. I think Grant Emerhi could be the next to add his name to that list.

With the departures of Alex Monis and Gevork Diarbian, space has opened on both wings for Emerhi to get an extended run of games in 2026.

The only insight we got into Revolution II’s preseason thus far was a 5-4 win over USL Championship side Rhode Island FC. A game where the young winger made an impact by assisting on two goals.

If Emerhi can keep up the form we saw during January 28th’s win over Rhode Island, expect the youngster to have a strong showing with Revs II in 2026.

3 - Gabe Dahlin

After appearing in 28 of 29 matches in his debut season, expect Dahlin to continue being a constant presence in the Revolution II lineup. Especially now that free agent Victor Souza departed the club to sign with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the offseason.

This preseason also saw the Swede involved with the first team’s preseason as he trained and featured in several of the Revs’ preseason fixtures during their stay in Florida.

With Souza gone, expect Dahlin to not only see a significant amount of minutes but to see him grow into a leader on and off the pitch for this Revs II side.

4 - Myles Morgan

Morgan is an interesting get for this Revs II side. Revs II primarily focuses on adding high-potential prospects either from the Revs Academy or fresh out of college.

While I consider Morgan a high-potential prospect, he arrives in New England with an immense amount of experience that differs from Revs II’s usual recruiting path.

Morgan’s youth career saw him spend time with the Toronto FC and Vancouver Whitecaps Academies, where he spent an immense amount of time with the club’s respective MLS NEXT Pro sides.

His most recent stint saw him take his game to the next level as he joined Canadian Premier League side Valour FC, where he notched a team-high seven goals plus three assists in 2025.

Not only is Morgan just 20, but he also has an immense amount of experience at a high level. Experience that should make him an impactful player for this Revs II side.

5 - Jayden Da

I was so excited to see New England sign Da last offseason. He was someone who had a tremendous spell in Columbus, tallying nine goals and five assists in 27 appearances with Crew2. Unfortunately, a serious knee injury suffered during preseason forced the forward to undergo season-ending surgery.

Despite the prognosis, Da was able to work his way back to being eligible to play as he was an unused substitute in New England’s 1-0 playoff loss to Chicago Fire II in the opening round.

With a full preseason under his belt, Da’s been able to get into the flow of the game, and like some of his Revs II teammates, even got some time with the first team.

I’m fairly confident Da will be able to have a bounce back season following the severe knee injury and be a key contributor for this Revolution II side in 2026!
