Sunday saw Connecticut United FC continue building its roster as the club announced the signing of Richard Hauth.
The 20-year-old defender arrives in Connecticut after starting his career with German side Greuther Fürth. After joining the club’s youth setup, Hauth progressed to the U17s, tallying a goal in 18 appearances. Hauth then progressed to the U19s, tallying one assist in 15 appearances.
July 20, 2024, saw Hauth make his debut and lone appearance for the club’s reserve side, clocking a full 90 minutes in Greuther Fürth II’s 6-2 loss to FC Augsburg II.
Hauth becomes the eighth signing by CT United ahead of the club’s inaugural season in 2026.
