Vermont Green FC's USL W League and USL League Two sides have added players to their rosters ahead of the 2026 season.
The women's side added Isabel Smith, Tatum Manley, and Tess Barrett. Smith joins the club from the University of Alabama, where she appeared in 59 career games and scored five goals and four assists. The midfielder was the 2022 Gatorade Player of the Year and part of USWNT U18 player pool.
Manley will be playing for the University of Portland as a freshman in the fall. She joins the backline of Vermont's squad.
Finally, Smith is yet another Boston College Eagle that will be heading to Burlington in the summer. The Massachusetts native appeared in 17 matches as a freshman.
On the men's side, Tyler Caton, Riley Moloney, Marcos Dos Santos, Egor Akulov, Shakir Nixon, Connor Miller, and Nikos Clarke-Tosczak will be returning to Burlington after playing for Vermont Green FC in the U.S. Open Cup.
Caton started both matches for the Green in the 2026 Open Cup. The English midfielder started 20 matches for NC State in the 2025 NCAA season and scored six assists and a goal.
Moloney also played in both USOC matches as well as NC State. The Derby County Academy product earned All-ACC Freshman Team honors for his play in the gall.
Dos Santos joins Vermont after previously playing for Seacoast United. The forward is fresh off an impressive fall campaign where he tallied 10 assists for the University of Virginia.
Akulov was the anchor of the backline alongside Brandon Marshall in the USOC. The defender was named to the Team of the Round for his performance against Westchester. Akulov won a national championship with the University of Washington in the fall.
Nixon is another U.S. Youth National Team player who will be spending their simmer in Vermont. The outside back featured in the first-round win over Portland Hearts of Pine. Nixon earned Big Ten All-Tournament honors for his performance with UCLA in the fall.
Miller was a standout against Portland and Westchester. The Colorado Rapids Academy product is a two-time All-American and First Team All-Ivy midfielder.
Clarke-Tosczak appeared in both of the Green’s U.S. Open Cup matches. The versatile outside back is a product of the Vancouver Whitecaps Academy, and was selected 19th overall in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft by Sporting Kansas City.
Additionally, two players who have yet to suit up for Vermont will be spending the summer in Burlington. Diego Rosas and Efetobo Aror join the Green from the University of Portland.
Rosas is a WCC Midfielder of the Year and All-WCC First Teamer. He is fresh off an amazing campaign with Portland where he racked up 15 assists in a single season. The highly creative midfielder played in 20 games for the University of Portland this Fall, scoring 2 goals and providing a staggering 15 assists.
Aror was selected 12th overall by the Colorado Rapids in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft.
Both sides kickoff their 2026 campaign relatively soon. The men start their season away against Seacoast United on May 16 while the women play their first USL W League match on May 19 against Hartford Athletic.
