Marcos Zambrano’s tenure with the New England Revolution will last a bit longer as the club exercised a permanent trade option.
In exchange, the Revolution has sent its third-round selection in the 2027 MLS SuperDraft to Real Salt Lake, who also retain a percentage of any future trade/purchase.
The 21-year-old’s time with the Revolution began on March 27 when the club acquired Zambrano on loan from fellow MLS side Real Salt Lake. Since his arrival, Zambrano has tallied a goal in four appearances across all competitions.
The move sees the U.S. Youth international stick around with Marko Mitrović, whom he played under at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Zambrano and the New England Revolution restart the 2026 campaign on July 22 when they host Toronto FC inside Gillette Stadium at 7:30 PM.
