New England Revolution II:

Things have been running smoothly for Pablo Moreira and his Revs II side as they come into Friday’s match riding a four-game unbeaten run that’s seen wins in their last three outings.

It all began on May 3 when the club paid a visit to UConn’s Morrone Stadium to square off against regional rival CT United FC. Despite both sides combining for 19 shots, things ended in a scoreless draw. Unfortunately for New England, they came up short in the shootout, suffering a 6-5 loss.

Momentum swung New England’s way on May 10 when the club squared off against New York City FC II. While both sides exchanged two goals apiece, Damario McIntosh’s first professional goal sealed the 3-2 victory for Revolution II in the 83rd minute.

May 13 saw New England eke out another win as Jake Shannon’s first professional goal secured a 1-0 victory for Revs II over Philadelphia Union II. Like their win over Union II, May 17 saw New England skate away with all three points thanks to Judah Siqueira’s first goal of the 2026 season in the first minute of stoppage time.

Thanks to their recent run of games, New England comes into Friday’s contest in third place with 20 points on a 5-2-3 record with two shootout victories, and could potentially see themselves tied with second-place Red Bull New York II.

Crown Legacy

Kevin Sawchak’s first year at the helm of Crown Legacy has been nearly flawless as they enter Friday’s contest atop the Eastern Conference with 26 points on a 7-1-3 record with two shootout victories.

Looking at the stats, it’s clear why Crown Legacy’s offense has been a dominating force this year. They rank first in goals per match (3.1), tie for fifth in shots on target per match (5.9), first in big chances (44), tie for fourth in penalties awarded (3), first in touches in the opposition’s box (339), third in corner kicks (71), and lead the league in set piece goals (8).

While they’ve only conceded 14 goals in their opening 11 matches, Crown Legacy’s defense is a bit on the weaker side as they rank dead last in interceptions per match (6) and tackles per match (13.7). They also rank 27th in clearances per match (16.8), tie for 22nd in set piece goals conceded (5), tie for 18th in saves per match (3.3), and tie for fourth in most red card offenses (2).

While Crown Legacy’s ability to score goals at such a high rate is concerning on its own, the fact that their 34 goals scored have come from 10 different goal scorers is a downright efficient offense that New England has to keep an eye out for.

Forwards Hugo Mbongue and Rodolfo Aloko are two names to keep watch for. The pair lead Crown Legacy and MLS NEXT Pro as a whole with a staggering eight goals apiece. Additionally, the pair have three and two assists, respectively.

If available, first-teamer Nimfasha Berchimas is another name to keep an eye on as the U.S. youth international has seven goals and an assist on the year.

Forward Nate Richomond is another vital part of Crown’s offense as he has three goals and a team-leading seven assists to his name in 2026.

Previous Meetings:

Sunday will mark the sixth all-time meeting between New England and Crown Legacy. Crown holds a firm historical advantage with a 4-1-0 record in the first five meetings.

The first meeting spelled success for New England as goals from Marcos Dias, Jordan Adebayo-Smith, and Peyton Miller led Revs II to a 3-1 victory on July 12, 2023.

Since then, Crown Legacy has dominated New England with 2-1, 5-3, and two 1-0 victories over Revolution II throughout the 2023, 2024, and 2025 seasons.
