Vermont Green FC Goalkeeper Signs With Minnesota United FC 2
Another Vermont player begins his professional career
Francesco Montali’s time in Burlington was short but impactful as the Vermont Green FC goalkeeper has signed a professional contract with Minnesota United FC 2 of MLS Next Pro.
“Cesco has been an incredible addition to our club since he first arrived back in the Spring, and we’re so happy now to see him get the move he deserves.” said Vermont Green FC sporting director and head coach Adam Pfeifer. “We are beyond happy for him, and the whole club extends our sincere congratulations. This is another example of what we want our club to be, a place where top talent like Francesco can show their quality and earn the professional contracts they’re after.”
Montali played in five matches and conceded just one goal during his time with The Green. With the departure, Jahiem Wickham looks to be the starter moving forward for Vermont.
